IOG 25Au

The IOG 25Au is a high performance Liquid Metal Ion Gun system designed to provide a range of gold and gold cluster ion beams for SIMS applications. It offers a wide current range with fine probe capability and d.c. or pulsed operation. Digital control allows easy setup of the gun and a provision for remote control is included.

The IOG 25Au delivers a focused beam with beam energy of up to 25 keV. The gun is fitted with a gold-germanium alloy liquid metal ion source. A Wien filter allows selection of primary ion species suitable for imaging with high spatial resolution or for high mass range analysis.
